SAVE THE DATE - FALL SOCIAL

Please mark your calendar for Thursday, October 14, 2010, as the date of the 2010 Fall Social Event of the Builders Exchange of St. Paul.  The event will be held at Prom Center in Oakdale.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m.  Hosting the event will be BXSP members representing the Roofing, Sheetmetal, Warm Air Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Waterproofing, Hardware, Glass Firms and related firms.  Event chairperson is Kelly McGrath, M.G. McGrath, Inc.  The Fall Social draws over 450 BXSP members and guests for an evening of social time, dinner and door prizes.  Raffles and grand prize drawings are also featured.  BXSP members will soon be mailed a copy of the ticket registration form. 

ATTENTION BXSP MEMBERS

Help BXSP communicate to area architects, engineers and government agencies about the benefits of sending BXSP as many construction plans as possible.  In doing so, the design community benefits by being able to generate numerous construction bids for project owners.  The construction industry benefits by having access to more projects to bid at BXSP.  The result is a "win-win" for the design community and the construction industry.  How can you help?  Simply let our valued partners in the design community know that you want them to send plans to BXSP by either the traditional paper format or via electronic transmission.  BXSP is equipped to receive construction documents in any format.  Thank you for encouraging the design community to fully utilize the complimentary plan distribution services of BXSP.

BXSP BOWLING LEAGUE

We are preparing to launch our 97th year of the BXSP Bowling League.  Starting in September, the League kicks off its new season at Midway Pro Bowl in St. Paul.  This year, the League has openings for individuals, teams and team sponsors.  If you or your firm is interested, please contact Kyle Benning at 651-792-6769.

UPGRADE YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO BXSP PLANLINE - AT A PRORATED FEE

Upgrading your membership level at BXSP has just been made easier!  Now, BXSP members can upgrade to full BXSP PlanLine level membership at a prorated price.  The upgraded membership fee will be prorated based on the number of months remaining in your present membership anniversary period.  Call BXSP today to get started.  651-224-7545. 

LIMITED PLANLINE ACCESS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL MEMBERS

As of 2010, all BXSP member companies may go online to access BXSP PlanLine project summary information.  Limited project summary access allows BXSP members to go online and view the project plan list, bidders lists, project issuer information, project bid dates, and notice of project addenda.  There is no cost for this access.  To receive access, please contact BXSP staff at 651-224-7545 and request your access authorization. 

BXSP members may upgrade their membership to expand access to the BXSP PlanLine.  Limited access is available at no extra cost.  For an additional $120.00 per year, standard access allows members to track projects, view the desk pad page, order plan sheets online, and view addenda scans.  Upgraded access is available for $675.00 per year and allows up to four users access to view all plan sheets and spec book pages.

MINORITY PARTICIPATION NOTICES>>>>>>

The Builders Exchange of St. Paul has announced that area general contractors can now publicize notices for minority participation from MBE/DBE/WBE/SBE/SBRA/VOB  subcontractors and suppliers in the weekly issue of the BXSP E-Newsletter.  General contractors must submit announcements by Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. to be included in the weekly edition of the E-Newsletter.  "BXSP is pleased to be able to provide this valuable service to the area construction industry," said Pat Forliti, president, BXSP.  Upon request, BXSP will provide general contractors with publication verification copies of the BXSP Weekly E-Newsletter.  The BXSP Weekly E-Newsletter is a construction industry publication with circulation to the construction industry, design community, and is available to the general public via the BXSP website.  For additional information, contact BXSP staff at 651-224-7545.
